Who's on board?

Maybe it’s the inner child in me – or the channeling of Ricky Schroder's  – but this might just be the coolest logo in sports right now.

Not only does the engine appeal to youth, it seems to fit Chicago's rail history and market.

So who's on board?

Oh - and a personal visit from the Steam's mascot (a cloud of ... ?) for anyone who knows what league the Steam plays in. Before clicking.

I might go see the Steam once because I love basketball however for them to last for any length in time in this league, they must move into a facility that serves beer.

Ah, the ABA. Do you think the person that designed the logo is a Purdue Boilermaker fan? The colors are awfully similar.

They need to get rid of the ball in the logo. At first glance, it looks like a beachball. It took me going to the Steam's website to realize that it is the classic ABA basketball. Even if the ball now "fits," it still looks silly because the colors are so dissimilar to the engine part of the logo.

With the ball, I give the logo a D.
Without the ball, I give the logo an A.

Has anyone seen the Chicago Express' logo? It is a new hockey team in the ECHL and will be playing out in Hoffman Estates. It looks a lot like the Steam's as well. Check out the logo here:

They need a name for their mascot. Thoughts?
